Dealership Oil Changes

Doing some research on dealership “dexos” oil changes and Toyota/Honda 0W-20 and this is what we found:

Dexos (@ GM dealers)
High: $65 in Virginia
Low: $39.95 in El Paso
Typical: $42.95 in Nevada; $44.95 in Minnesota
Typical conventional oil change: ~$29.95

Toyota 0W-20
High: $81.95 (with inspection) in Arizona
Low: $39.95 (with coupon) in Minnesota (conventional oil change w/ coupon was $19.95)
Typical: $44.95 in Indiana; $58.95 in Tennessee

Honda 0W-20
High: $59.99 in North Carolina
Low: $38.95 in New Jersey
Typical: $44.95 in Virginia; $49.95 in Louisiana
(Did see coupon for a $29.99 0W-20 oil change at one dealership)

Also did some research about quart purchases of 0W-20; cheapest online price found was $7.78 for a single quart, though did run across one comment about a customer buying it for $5.95/quart at a Honda dealership. See the full story in our July issue.
