Interesting article here about a revolutionary internal combustion engine created by the scientists at Michigan State University. Called a “Wave Disk” generator, the engine would use 60 percent of the power derived from fuel for propulsion; modern internal combustion engines use only about 15 percent, wasting most of the rest as heat.
No word on what the engine’s oil change interval will be, or when it might be ready for production. On the latter, I wouldn’t expect it anytime soon. Car companies are nothing if not devoted to tradition!
