Fuel From Used Oil?

Interesting article here about a new scientific effort that could actually produce usable fuel (and not just oil burner-type fuel) from used motor oil in a process that uses microwaves. Wonder if that would make the market for used motor oil go up? Don’t imagine that you could get $100/barrel for used motor oil, but what if you could get $50/barrel, or about $1/gallon? For the average lube shop that produces somewhere in the neighborhood of 1500 gallons of used oil each month, that could really add up. (Imagine getting a check for nearly $18,000 each year!) Keep your fingers crossed.
