Just saw where Shell has tested a prototype 0W-10 motor oil in a tiny British commuter car. You probably won’t see it in a three-quarter-ton pickup anytime soon, but according to the press release the motor oil increased fuel economy by more than 6 percent. That type of performance will likely get automakers — who are already keen on improving fuel economy any way they can — drooling. We’ll have more in a future issue of NOLN.
