Interesting article from Lubes ‘n Greases about the future of the motor oil segment. You can read about it here, but Larry Solomon, an industry expert who at one time worked for Valvoline, predicts that overall demand for motor oil will increase in the years to come based largely on the fact that fewer and fewer cars are being scrapped, raising the average vehicle age on an annual basis and correspondingly raising the domestic vehicle population. That would be excellent news for the fast lube industry.
