Read a report earlier today that the government may be ready to assist the merger of General Motors and Chrysler. More of our tax dollars at work, but the move could be good news for the lube industry, as it would almost certainly involve the elimination of hundreds of dealerships. And this on the heels of reports that as many as 2,000 dealerships could be forced out of business within the coming year due to the economic climate.
