Heartland Auto Store Closings

Just received word from Heartland Automotive Services, the beleaguered Jiffy Lube franchisee. Seems the company is going to shutter 19 of its low-performing facilities in 11 markets to focus on improving its core operation. After the stores are closed, the company will still operate 414 stores in 15 major metro markets in the United States.

Closed facilities will be in the Austin, Texas; Boston, Massachusetts; Kansas City, Missouri; Las Vegas, Nevada; Memphis, Tennessee; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Seattle, Washington; St. Louis, Missouri; Tucson, Arizona; and Nebraska markets. The company said in a statement that customers will be redirected to other Heartland Jiffy Lubes continuing to serve those markets.
