Fuel Filter Note

Received a call today from Dave, one of our readers, about the fuel filter article we published in November. We noted in the article that it’s important to change the fuel filter to protect fuel injectors, but Dave said there’s another very important reason to change the fuel filter: the fuel pump. Since most modern fuel pumps are located inside the gas tanks of vehicles, replacing them can be a costly and time-consuming endeavor. Periodically replacing a vehicle’s fuel filter can help keep fuel pumps in tip-top shape throughout the life of the vehicle and avoid costly repairs. Just something to remind your customers of.
