We’ve been hearing from Tom Glenn at www.jobbersworld.com that most major oil blenders have raised prices between 5 and 11 percent for lubricating oils in recent weeks. Blenders have generally cited rising crude oil costs, and subsequent increases in the cost of base oils, as reasons for the increase. Some companies have also raised prices for gear lubes and greases, too, generally between 3 and 5 percent. E-mail Tom for more information.
